Seed bead earrings
This is a skill that requires a person to have some background in either weaving or sewing projects. Patience is also a plus.
Learning objective: To create a pair of seed bead earrings, additionally the skills given in this class can be amended to create other types of finished projects.
The materials for this class includes all seed bead, and bugle beads, the sewing equipment, the needles, thread, and scissors.
Activate the skills the student has already when it comes to understanding the concept of weaving, and sewing skills.
Acquired skills will include everything from design planning, choosing of colors, threading the needle, attention to the demonstrations, and following directions.
Application will include both group instruction and personal 1:1 assistance in working through the plan for the project. A base is created with the bugle beads, and the top part of the earring is a small woven piece that is woven with seed beads onto the base. The dangles have both seed beads and bugle beads.
Assessment: The student will have a visually pleasing set of earrings using the previous skills and materials..
